We are excited to have Elizabeth Cushnie join our Stage 1 Team and allow us to now offer singing lessons.

Soprano, studied with technical voice master Helga Tucker through the Royal Conservatory. During that time she also attended special studies at the Manhattan School of Music in New York and the University of British Columbia Opera Ensemble. In 1997 Elizabeth was awarded first prize in the Provincial Senior Voice completion and was featured on CHBC as a "Okanagan Young achiever ". In 2000 Elizabeth was the soul representative for British Columbia at the Canadian National Voice Competition. In 2001 she won the New York Metropolitan National Arts Council competition for the Western Region.

Elizabeth has also appeared in sold out recitals and has had performances with the Okanagan Symphony and all over BC with Community Concert Series. Elizabeth lives in Mission and is a vocal coach and teacher in Coquitlam. She has worked bringing music to children in the Mission School District and is the Voice Director for Theatrix Youth Theatre. Elizabeth specializes in technical aspects of singing in all forms. Thereby developing versatile singers that maintain optimal vocal health at all times no matter what style.
