On Sunday December 18th Stage 1 will be going to see the Royal City Youth Ballet perform the Nutcracker at Massey Theatre! This year we are very excited that we have to of our very own students performing in the show. Breanna Grieco and Kiyomi Asano!
It's Christmas Eve, a time when dreams may come true. Drosselmeyer, godfather to Clara, brings gifts and magic to her parents' home for the annual Christmas party. His special gift to Clara is a large Nutcracker soldier. When she falls asleep after the party, Clara is cradling the Nutcracker in her arms and begins to dream.
In her dream, her Nutcracker soldier fights a battle and transports her on a sleigh through the Land of Snow to the Land of Sweets, where she meets the Sugar Plum Fairy and people from far away lands.
We have wonderful facilities, with enthusiastic, outstanding and hardworking students, as well as caring and supportive parents. Combine that with dedicated, experienced and qualified instructors who will work towards developing the capabilities and the full potential of your child, and you have a winning situation.
The ballet closes as Drosselmeyer brings Clara back from her dream, still cradling her Nutcracker soldier and treasuring her wonderful dream.

This year's Christmas party will take place on December 11th at the Port Coquitlam Rec Centre.
Skating will be from 2:30 to 4:00pm. We will then have refreshments, gift exchange and a visit from Santa from 4:00 to 6:00pm. Tickets will go on sale November 14th.
Ticket price will include: Skating, after party with refreshments and a visit from Santa.Please bring your own skates and helmet if possible, skate and helmet rental is extra at the rink, however there is a limited quantity available.
Our 2nd Pizza and movie night of the year will be held on Saturday November 26th, 6pm to 9pm. We will watch a movie (rated G), giveaway prizes and encourage kids to wear PJ's, and bring their blankets and pillows.
Cost - $6 (cash) per child, please register and pay to the office by Thursday November 24th.
